A little about me!
Hello! I’m Mandy MugridgeI! I began my career in Financial Services in 1987 as a sales representative for Allied Dunbar. It didn’t take long for me to realise that sales weren’t suitable for me. However, I enjoyed the industry, so I moved into a role in Sales Support with Lloyds Bank Insurance Services. I stayed in that position until 1995, but that chapter closed when I was made redundant while on maternity leave with my first daughter.
Recognising that many small, local financial advisers needed part-time administrative support, I decided to go freelance. It was the perfect way to juggle my work and family life, with the flexibility to set my own hours around my personal commitments.
In 2000, I was offered a role as a Personal Assistant to an Independent Mortgage and Financial Advisor, which I held for 20 years. Then, in 2020, the adviser I had worked with for two decades decided to retire. When he jokingly suggested that I take over the business, I realised it was an opportunity I was ready for. That lightbulb moment made me realise I was ready for the challenge! After completing my qualifications in May 2020, I officially took over the business in January 2023. I have thoroughly enjoyed this journey and continue to thrive on the collaborative success of both the business and my clients.
